Schools in Kodumela

There are Primary and Secondary schools in  all of the villages in the  Kodumela ADP.

We are working to establish links where children's work, lesson plans and other information are regularly exchanged between linked schools within Kodumela and the linked schools wiothin the Wallingford Partnership Schools in South Oxfordshire.

So far Cholsey Primary School has a well established link with Mamokaile school in Makaung village (see the archive section for details of what has taken place within the link so far), Crowmarsh Gifford Primary School established a link with Masekane School in Turkey village during 2009 and Brightwell Primary School are hoping to establish a link with Metz Primary School shortly.

Mamokaile School has 450 pupils in classes of between 40 -50 children, 9 teaching staff and no support staff. The school follows the  South African National Curriculum, but has few resources provided by the government - much of what they use is outadated making the quality teaching they strive for very hard.
